CHEMVERSCENCE: Centenary Celebration of Chemical Department of Jadavpur University

As the Chemical Department of Jadavpur University celebrates its centenary, Aditya Birla Chemicals joins in to congratulate and applaud their remarkable journey. 

“CHEMVERSCENCE”: Centenary Celebration Program of Chemical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University, Kolkata was held on February 25th to 27th, 2023. This is significant milestone that highlights a century of excellence in education, research, and community engagement. The Chemical Department of Jadavpur university was established in 1921 and has walked past 100 glorious years in 2021. Being the very nucleus of its kind in Asia, this department has soared in crafting fine engineers excelling all over the world and continues to do so. 

We are honored to be associated with the centenary celebrations of an institution that has helped shape a better future for the world by pioneering chemical innovations. Being the Gold Sponsors of the event, we had displayed Aditya Birla Chemicals banners and standees across the event venue and had put up a stall showcasing literatures of our diverse range of products.

The department’s centenary celebrations provides an opportunity to reflect on its achievements and look to the future. The inaugural ceremony was held at Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture on 25th Feb and was continued with an International Conference on Chemical Engineering Innovations and Sustainability (ICEIS – 2023) in the campus of Jadavpur University on 26th and 27th Feb. Delegates from the Industry and Academia joined the celebration to witness the Student Alumni Interaction programme, Industry Academia meet and the Cultural Programme. The International Conference encouraged conversations and networking among industry leaders, students and alumni.

This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work that have gone into making it one of the leading institutions in India. We congratulate the Chemical division of Jadavpur University on this significant achievement and wish all the very best for the next century of the Institute’s success.
