Participation in CII - ICPC 2022: Building Leadership in R&D, Innovation and Digitalization

Aditya Birla Chemicals, a leading player in the chlor-alkali industry, was proud to have its Head of R&D, Dr. Hiten Mehta, as a key panelist at the 5th Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals Conference (ICPC) 2022, held on 18th November, 2022.

The conference, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and academics to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the field of chemicals and petrochemicals, with a focus on building leadership in research and development (R&D), innovation, and digitalization.

Dr. Mehta shared his insights on how to achieve the ambitious target of a 3 trillion USD chemical industry by 2047. He emphasized the importance of shifting the culture from reactive to proactive research, and creating a road map that aligns with the short-term, mid-term, and long-term visions of CEOs.

Dr. Mehta also highlighted the role of industry-academia collaboration in creating an ecosystem that helps existing employees adapt to industry changes. He highlighted the various initiatives and programs that Aditya Birla Chemicals has in place to motivate employees to grow and sustain, including training initiatives and higher education support programs.
